    Negombo Lagoon
    You will get the experience of mangroves and wetland ecosystem in this estuary where there are two main rivers bring in fresh water into this traditional fishing lagoon, among water birds egrets, cormorants, ducks, herons, terns, kingfishers and eagles are very common. An opportunity to take a boat and explore the lagoon. You also have the ability to visit the toddy tapping and taste the coconut nectar which is a traditional beer in Sri Lanka.

  • 02 - NEGOMBO- YAPAHUWA- ANURADHAPURA
    VISIT YAPAHUWA
    Yapahuwa has a variety of features of archaeological importance. The fortress and the moat, which extend from west end of the Southern part of the rock are connected to the other side of the rock in the shape of a horseshoe.
    The fortress is 4m in height and 22m in width. Bastions may have existed on the rampart as suggested by the square shaped structures on it. The well-planned citadel consists of a rampart and a moat. The stone slabs are put in place on both sides of the rampart and had been filled with metal. In the citadel where the water is being collected, two sluices made of stone are built to take away the collected water to the nearby drain.

    Evening leave for game drive in Yala National Park The second largest national park in Sri Lanka covering 979 square Km of which consist of 5 blocks that contain thorny forests, grasslands, sandy beach, dry and moist monsoon forests and marine wetlands. You are so lucky to have the opportunity to observe 7 endemic birds out of 215 bird species that are found in this park. ashy-headed babbler (Garrulax cinereifrons), Sri Lanka white-headed starling (Sturnus senex), Sri Lanka wood pigeon (Columba torringtoni), green-billed Coucal (Centropus chlororrhynchus) and Sri Lanka broad-billed roller (Eurystomus orientalis irisi).
